Hi, I'm Raiyan!
Computer Science graduate from RUET · Researcher in bioinformatics and machine learning
Research
My research interests lie at the intersection of bioinformatics, computational biology, and machine learning. I am particularly interested in using computational methods to analyze high-dimensional biomedical data and identify biologically meaningful patterns that may support disease understanding and biomarker discovery.
During my undergraduate studies at RUET, I worked on machine-learning and bioinformatics-based biomarker-identification problems across multiple diseases and completed my B.Sc. thesis on pancreatic cancer using differential-expression analysis, two-stage feature selection, machine-learning and deep-learning models, WGCNA, PPI-network analysis, and biological validation.
Beyond research
My undergraduate journey was not limited to coursework. I also worked on software products, coordinated a student bioinformatics research team, contributed to a startup as a project manager, explored embedded systems, and stayed active in programming communities. These experiences shaped how I approach research—with curiosity, persistence, collaboration, and a practical mindset toward building and testing ideas.
